Today is our last full day in Egypt :(. After that we will be heading home tomorrow on Saturday.
Early in the morning we left to go see the pyramids. We got in the bus and had a tourist police on the bus. He was like a bodyguard keeping us safe. Sherry really liked him ;)
The pyramids were really big. We got to a few steps to get to the entrance of the biggest pyramid but we didn’t go in. We looked around then drove like 2 minutes to have a groups photo in front of all 3 pyramids. Then, Sherry, Cason, my Mom, Dad, brother and I got on some camels to take another photo.
We drove some more to see the Sphinx which was probably my favorite. They were doing some restoration work on it so I’m glad we saw it while we could still see the original Sphinx.
Before lunch we went to another smaller pyramids with steps. There were vendors surrounding us everywhere there.
After a delicious lunch we went to some stores to go shopping. That was a mistake right as soon as my parents walked in there. The first place we stopped was an essential oils and perfume place. I don’t really believe in essential oils but my mom does so she got A LOT. The next place was a place where they were selling papyrus. They were mostly selling paintings on papyrus but I wanted a plain piece so I could paint on it. I also got my name written in hieroglyphs on one. The owner of the store showed us how they make papyrus and it’s almost a 2 week process. After that, we stopped at a clothing store where I got an Egypt shirt. Lastly, we stopped at a jewelry store. We didn’t buy anything there.
We finally had dinner. We had a dinner cruise on the Nile. The food was pretty good. Then we had some performances on the cruise. Tomorrow we go home

Today we are heading home. We had to wake up at 4:30 AM to get on our 9:30 flight. We left to go to the airport and it took like an hour to get through all of the security. There is a lot of security. They check your passports like 5 times and you have to go through 2 security checks. We had to wait another hour to get on our flight, but it was late so we ended up leaving at like 11 AM. The next flight was 12 hours. It wasn’t fun. I goat barely any sleep, even though I had 2 seats open. The food was pretty ok though.
We landed in Houston TX and spent the night there at a hotel because we couldn’t find any flights that would take us to Boise later than 8pm. Once we got to the hotel, we had McDonald’s. We leave in the morning at 3:30 AM tomorrow to go to Boise.
